Care Without Compromise, a Choice Care sister company in Wales, supports people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and associated complex needs. With its own clinical team, Care Without Compromise has a particular expertise in understanding and supporting individuals with challenging behaviours. Specialist therapeutic services are integrated into the day to day person‑centred support offered to the people we support, enabling them to progress towards a more meaningful and enjoyable daily life.
Staff are fully trained in Positive Behavioural Support and are encouraged to develop their skills and career with the company, providing consistency and stability in the services.
The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. We offer a number of flexible positions to fit around your needs.
Overview of the role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with seniors in the home and report any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. You will make a huge difference to people’s lives and enjoy days out, trips away and many more activities, ensuring the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
Key duties
- Take the lead in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment.
- Supervise a team and assist with overall management of the service.
- Liaise with managers and other shift leaders.
- Execute tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
- Supervise and share mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining.
- Assist residents in their daily activities, whether this be in or away from the service.
- Use initiative when supporting residents during activities and day‑to‑day tasks.
