Overview

We’re looking for a driven Programme Manager to support the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects. This is a key leadership role where you’ll shape delivery, influence strategy, and lead high‑performing teams in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning and delivery of multiple complex civil engineering projects from concept through to handover
  • Driving performance across scope, cost, schedule, risk, and KPIs
  • Coordinating design, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure seamless delivery
  • Overseeing major civils works (groundworks, concrete structures, infrastructure, drainage, etc.)
  • Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Managing risks, reporting, and programme governance, including audits and stage gates
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, regulators, and supply chain partners
  • Supporting commercial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and change control
  • Leading and mentoring Project Managers and Engineers, fostering a strong safety and performance culture

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Proven experience delivering complex civil engineering programmes
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and change
  • Background in regulated environments (nuclear or similar highly desirable)

Security Clearance

UK National Security Vetting Status – Ability to gain SC Clearance
