Business Support Officer – Document Control Team (Grade 5)
At Kirklees Council we work in innovative and practical ways to deliver high‑quality services to our communities. We are looking for a motivated and detail‑focused Business Support Officer to join our Document Control Team within Welfare & Exchequer.
This is a key role supporting the effective running of essential council services. You will be part of a professional and supportive team responsible for processing large volumes of sensitive documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring information is available to support timely decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming post and electronic documents, including scanning, indexing and record management
- Maintain accurate and secure records using council IT systems
- Provide high‑quality administrative and business support to service teams
- Work to targets, standards and deadlines in a high‑volume environment
- Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Work proactively as part of a team to support service objectives

Experience in a document management, administrative or business support role is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours: Your working week will largely be during standard office hours, Monday to Friday.
