This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Planning Enforcement Service, following a recent transformation that has expanded the team.
Responsibilities
- Investigate alleged breaches of planning control within the Borough.
- Take appropriate action to protect local amenities and provide confidence to residents.
- Conduct site inspections, interview members of the public, and liaise with landowners, occupiers, and Council colleagues.
- Assist with all stages of the investigation and enforcement process, from complaint receipt to case closure.
- Prepare and serve Planning Enforcement Notices and Enforcement Appeal documents.
- Support legal proceedings, including assisting in prosecution cases when required.
Qualifications
- Strong investigative and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of planning legislation and enforcement processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Experience in planning enforcement or a related field is desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
