Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Branch Manager to join our team in Long Whatton, Loughborough. As Assistant Branch Manager you will work closely and assist the Branch Manager with day‑to‑day running of the site branch, supervising trade counter and yard‑based colleagues.
What you’ll be doing as an Assistant Branch Manager
- Oversee and supervise all aspects of branch activity as required, ensuring cohesion between on‑site internal and external departments to keep the branch fully functional and operating to optimum levels.
- Ensure all employees adhere to best practices, company policies and guidelines.
- Monitor overall customer service levels.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure site at all times.
- Evaluate employee performance and identify training requirements.
- Handle HR matters and personnel related administration.
Your Skills
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Good literacy and numeracy ability.
- Proven organisational skills and experience.
- Timber and full product knowledge.
- Leadership and organisational skills.
- Merchant experience.
