Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented co‑op to join our Product Line Management team. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in product lifecycle support, competitive analysis, data reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration within the semiconductor industry.
As a co‑op, you will support senior product line specialists and business analysts by assisting with product cost modeling, competitive teardowns, basic financial reporting, and database maintenance. This position is ideal for students interested in engineering, business analytics, or product management who want exposure to real‑world product development processes.
Duration of assignment: Summer/Fall Co‑op: June – December 2026
Responsibilities
Product Line Support
- Assist with financial data reporting (revenue, product cost updates, margin tracking) for assigned product lines.
- Work with Product Line, Finance, and Engineering teams to update or audit BOM information in internal systems.
- Assist in organizing technical reports and presentations for the product management team.
- Participate in team meetings to understand customer requirements, development progress, and product performance feedback.
Competitive Analysis & Teardown Support
- Assist in gathering competitive module teardown data (images, measurements, summary details) provided by engineering teams.
- Help create comparison summaries for internal use, highlighting key differences between Skyworks’ products and competitor products.
- Support the development and maintenance of competitor cost model estimates in collaboration with senior analysts.
- Maintain and update a user‑friendly teardown and benchmarking database for internal teams.
Required Experience and Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts) and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Some exposure to semiconductors, electronics, RF modules, or hardware teardown concepts (coursework or hobby experience welcome).
- Interest in product management, business analytics, or competitive strategy.
- Familiarity with Python, VBA, Agile, or SAP.
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 – $47.50 per hour and for a Non‑Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 – $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
