Position Overview
Great opportunity to work as a Production Administrator for a fruit and vegetable packing site that processes tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers.
This is a temp-to-perm position located in Chatteris, offering the possibility to transition to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
Working Hours & Schedule
Job runs Sunday to Saturday, 5 days per week, starting at 08:00 am. Finish times vary; you must be prepared to work until the job is completed (40-48 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Support smooth and efficient daily operations, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.
- Enter data, maintain production documentation and spreadsheets (including Excel), and prepare regular reports.
- Carry out physical stock checks and support planning activities.
- Liaise with packhouse leaders and admin teams to keep operations running seamlessly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, particularly Excel, and experienced with data entry and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work closely with production teams, packhouse leaders, and other departments.
- Proactive, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in an administrative or production environment would be beneficial.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: £13.27 (up to 48 hours); overtime at £16.59 per hour beyond 48 hours.
- Bank holiday pay: £13.77 per hour.
- Salary range: £13.77 – £16.59 per hour.
