Commercial Change Manager

We are seeking an effective Commercial Change Manager to join our team on a government contract.
The Commercial Change Manager will be responsible for the oversight of change processes across the account, ensuring operational, commercial, financial, IT and contractual impacts are fully assessed, approved and implemented effectively.
Job Description
The role will work closely with the Key Account Portfolio Director (KAPD) and the Senior Leadership Team for the government contract, reporting into the Head of Commercial.
You will interpret Early Warning Notices, manage internal change, and ensure consistent governance and seamless coordination across the contract portfolio, including ownership of the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the change governance framework, including leading and running the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Oversee end-to-end change delivery across all workstreams, ensuring impacts are fully assessed, approved and implemented
- Lead Early Warning Notice processes, coordinating mitigation actions and escalating risks appropriately
- Oversee commercial and financial change, including Compensation Events, ensuring accurate reflection in financial and service systems
- Act as the central point of contact for all change activity, aligning internal teams, subcontractors and the client
- Ensure operational readiness by delivering training, coaching and briefing materials to support teams through change
- Track and report on change performance, embedding lessons learned and driving continuous improvement
- Support effective service delivery by ensuring change outputs translate into improved contract performance
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
- Proven change and governance expertise, including leading structured change and control processes
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, with the ability to manage cost, risk, budgeting and contract impacts
- Experience of mobilisation, transition and change management within Facilities Management, particularly integration and operational change
- Demonstrated success in a commercial, client-facing role, building credibility and trust with senior stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder influencing skills, engaging senior leaders, clients and cross-functional teams
- Effective risk management and problem-solving capability, identifying issues early and driving mitigationExperience managing team performance and output to a consistently high standard
- Ability to build, lead and influence teams to meet customer and contract needs
- Highly organised with a strong focus on delivery and outcomes
