Full-time Class A Yard Drivers

Average $78,000 annually

Local, home daily

Driver referral bonus program up to $5,000 per referral

You will drive:

  • Late model Penske Truck Leasing trucks
  • Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
  • Equipped with inward and outward-facing in‑cab cameras to ensure safety

What you will do:

  • Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
  • Couple and uncouple trailers
  • Chock trailers as they are positioned for loading, unloading, and pulling from doors
  • Deliver palletized groceries to local stores as needed
  • Home daily

Schedule:

  • Sunday through Thursday
  • PM start time

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non‑exempt interstate DOT medical card.
  • 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the past 5 years.
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
  • Work the required schedule and specific location.
  • Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening.
  • Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; requires constant alertness and safe operation. Associates must accept responsibility for their own safety and that of others.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
  • The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
