Production Scheduler – Alcester – Permanent – Up to £55,000

Overview

EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer located in Alcester, that is currently in the market for a Production Scheduler to join their company permanently.

This market leader is a well‑established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety‑critical, highly complex components.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly cycle to bridge the gap between commercial demand and operational supply.
  • Own the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing complex resource capacity with high‑stakes delivery targets.
  • Sequence weekly manufacturing orders to maximise efficiency, minimise changeovers, and guarantee OTD.
  • Monitor daily performance and pivot schedules dynamically to protect production flow.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure 100% material availability and lean inventory levels.
  • Champion automation and digitalisation efforts within ERP/MRP systems to modernise planning.
  • Use data‑driven KPIs—like Schedule Adherence and Utilisation—to spark process innovations.

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven success navigating fast‑paced production environments as a Planner or Scheduler—you know how to keep the floor moving.
  • A deep understanding of SIOP/S&OP and capacity planning; you’re an expert at balancing the “seesaw” of demand and supply.
  • High proficiency in major systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) with the ability to turn raw data into actionable plans.
  • A natural communicator who can translate data into a story, influencing teams across Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a knack for proactive problem‑solving when faced with supply chain constraints.
