Pro4orm People Ltd are partnering with an SME pharmaceutical company in the search of an experienced Key Account Manager. We are looking to speak to people who are results orientated with an excellent understanding and experience in branded generics. This role would be suitable for someone who is highly motivated, detail orientated with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and engage across a wide customer base including ICBs.

This is a permanent, field-based role covering the Southeast. The territory includes: South London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Berkshire and Bucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure our clients tactics and brand strategies are aligned accordingly by maintaining an in-depth understanding of the local payer environment and their priorities
  • Monitor and identify trends in product usage and implement relevant tactics to ensure that our clients brand strategies and CSFs are delivered
  • Attend National, local and head office to share best practice, discuss business plans and understand the overall strategic and tactical requirements.
  • To support the key customer groups, maintain a regular supply of relevant medical, scientific and general information using both internal and external information sources.
  • Work with the business unit director and marketing team to identify initiatives that support the delivery of the brand plans
  • Positively represent our client and influence discussions with integrity within relevant professional and trade organisations to shape their thinking
  • Identify, develop and lead key influencers across primary care, secondary care, ICS/PCN, account & national level and build effective relationships with these individuals
  • Take ownership of the designated region with key emphasis on creating a positive environment for the uptake of our client’s products by developing and maintaining key relationships.
  • Working closely with a wide range of customers, who can support business growth. Including: Payers: Heads of medicines management and prescribing advisors, pharmacists (including retail, hospital, and clinical surgery based pharmacists), prescribers etc.
  • Excellent NHS understanding and analysis.
  • Develop robust business plans.
  • Identify, influence and lead on key stakeholders for your region, with a particular focus on payers.
  • Negotiate and implement commercial terms for key customer accounts.
  • Work with the business unit director and marketing team to identify initiatives that support the delivery of the brand plans.
  • Monitor and identify trends in product usage and implement relevant tactics to ensure that our clients brand strategies are delivered.

Requirements :

  • Have and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of UK compliance requirements,
  • To be considered for this opportunity you must be ABPI qualified.
  • Experience within respiratory would be desirable. Branded generics would be essential.
  • Ideally have brand and launch experience.
  • Strong payor level/ICB experience .
  • Excellent sales career history.
  • Be driven, self-motivated and strive for best outcomes.
  • Strong team player.
  • Can work well cross-functionally.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving license.
  • Be located on the region.
