Commercial Development | Leadership Opportunity We are working with a well‑established, respected professional services platform that is looking to appoint a senior Cost Management professional to lead and grow its Development Cost Management business in London. This role represents a genuine step‑up opportunity for a commercially driven leader who is already operating at senior level and is ready to take ownership of a division, shape strategy, and build a high‑performing team in one of the most dynamic development markets globally.

The Opportunity London’s commercial development market is evolving fast — from major new‑build schemes to deep retrofits and asset repositioning. This role sits at the heart of that change. You will take full leadership responsibility for a London‑based Development Cost Management team, with a clear mandate to:

  • Grow capability, market presence, and client relationships
  • Drive top‑line growth and financial performance
  • Lead complex, high‑profile development projects

You will work closely with senior leaders across complementary disciplines, shaping client solutions and strengthening the organisation’s position with developers, investors, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the London Development Cost Management offering with full accountability for performance
  • Set and deliver the business plan, including growth, profitability, and resourcing
  • Act as a senior figurehead in the London development market, building trusted client relationships
  • Originate and secure new work across commercial development projects
  • Oversee the successful mobilisation and delivery of cost management services on new instructions
  • Mentor, develop, and retain talent, creating a strong one‑team culture
  • Champion innovation, new technology, and smarter ways of working

About You 

  • Strong experience delivering cost management services within London’s commercial development market
  • A credible personal profile with developers, investors, funds, and asset managers
  • A proven ability to win work and grow client relationships
  • Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders at senior level
  • Solid commercial awareness, including budgets, revenue, and team performance
  • The ambition and confidence to step into a broader leadership remit
