Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sheet Metal Worker located in the Greater Leicester Area. The Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures using sheet metal. Day-to-day tasks include operating hand tools, creating and fitting metal components, performing welding operations, and working with specialized sheet metal materials. The role may also include work on aircraft components.
Experience
- Proficiency in using hand tools and experience with metalworking techniques
- Skilled in sheet metal fabrication and assembly
- Experience with welding techniques relevant to sheet metal work
- Familiarity with working on aircraft metal components
- Attention to detail and proficiency in following blueprints and technical drawings
- Physical ability to handle tools and machinery in a workshop environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices
- Previous experience or certification in a sheet metal trade is highly desirable
