HR Business Partner (UK Site)

A pivotal HR leadership role at the heart of the business

We’re seeking an HR Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to site leadership, owning the full people agenda for a UK operation. This is a high‑impact role combining strategic partnering with hands‑on operational delivery, ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, change‑enabled environment.

You’ll play a central role in shaping workforce capability, leading complex employee relations, ensuring data and payroll compliance, and embedding effective use of Workday—all while supporting leaders to drive a high‑performing, compliant, and engaged workforce.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Strategic HR Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership, aligning HR strategy with business priorities
  • Support organisational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives
  • Coach leaders on performance management, engagement, and leadership capability

Employee Relations Leadership

  • Lead complex ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, and performance cases
  • Ensure consistent and legally compliant application of UK employment law
  • Proactively identify and mitigate employee relations risk

HR Data, Payroll & Compliance

  • Own HR data accuracy and governance within Workday
  • Ensure GDPR compliance, audit readiness, and data integrity
  • Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery

Workday Implementation & Optimisation

  • Support site‑level implementation and ongoing optimisation of Workday
  • Participate in UAT, data validation, and process refinement
  • Drive effective system adoption by leaders and employees

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a UK environment
  • Strong employee relations expertise and up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Hands‑on Workday experience (essential)
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance
  • Confident stakeholder manager with strong influencing skills
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent)
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and operationally
