Mindshare delivers Good Growth for its clients. As "Growth Architects," we drive outcomes that benefit all stakeholders—people, planet, and business—by using media with intention. This approach creates more meaningful connections with consumers, increases consumer trust, and delivers better results for all.
We’re looking for a Business Director to lead the development and delivery of data pipelines, reporting frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and data‑driven media solutions for Mindshare’s clients in the UK. You will join the BI & Data Management team, a community of specialists focused on transforming marketing data into actionable insights across the UK’s largest digital media investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership – Lead and coach a team of four BI developers and data engineers. Define priorities, develop ways‑of‑working, shape delivery roadmaps, and embed a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Project Delivery – Govern the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle across a portfolio of client projects, managing resourcing, timelines, and cross‑functional dependencies to ensure workstreams are delivered reliably and at scale. Establish and maintain consistent ways of working across the team’s project portfolio.
- Solution Development – Oversee the delivery and development of performance dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and descriptive analytics used by media, analytics, and client teams. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into clear, actionable data products.
- Data Enablement – Work cross‑functionally with media activation teams, data science, data strategy, and global product teams to democratise access to data and develop automated, data‑driven solutions that drive efficiencies and enhance capabilities. Partner with client account leads to ensure technical solutions are aligned with commercial objectives.
- Cloud Environment Ownership – Act as the primary owner of all GCP environments within the team, enforcing best practices for deployment and management via the centrally managed Terraform service, while collaborating with central DevOps and TechOps teams to scope and deliver broader infrastructure solutions.
- Taxonomy, Data Standards & Governance – Ensure consistent application of marketing taxonomies, data definitions, and platform mappings (e.g., campaign metadata, brand/product categorisation, measurement KPIs), while driving the development of monitoring tools to surface issues in data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across platforms and sources.
- Senior Client & Stakeholder Relationships – Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients and internal stakeholders, building and maintaining trusted relationships at a senior level. Act as an escalation point for delivery issues and ensure the team’s output consistently meets and exceeds client expectations.
- Commercial & New Business – Contribute to the commercial growth of the practice by supporting new business pitches, scoping and pricing briefs, and identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships. Maintain awareness of project profitability and resource allocation to ensure delivery is commercially sustainable.
