Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Director, Head of Marketing Communications, Fitch Solutions based out of our New York or London office.
Fitch Solutions isseekinga senior, commercially minded marketing communications leader to build and lead a revenue oriented,high impactcommunications function that directly supports growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
This is a communications ledrole with explicit commercial accountability. Sitting within the Marketing organization, the Senior Director, Head of Marketing Communications will define and executeaFitchSolutions’ market-facingcommunications and media strategy that drives demand, accelerates pipeline, strengthens strategic relationships, and positions Fitch Solutions as an indispensable partner to clients, prospects, and the broader Fitch ecosystem.
The successful candidate will notoperateas a passive brand steward. They will act as a strategic growth partner to the business, translating insight, data, and expertise into narratives that influence buying decisions, unlock new commercial opportunities, and elevate Fitch Solutions’ role in the market—working closely with Fitch Ratings in a matrixed environment to amplify collective impact whileoperating within enterprisenarrativeand regulatory boundaries.
This role will build, scale, and lead a global team,establishclear performance metrics, and ensure marketing communications is measured by business outcomes, not activity alone.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Revenue Growth & Strategic Impact
- Own and execute a marketing communications strategy that is explicitly aligned to revenue growth, pipeline development, and strategic priorities across FitchSolutions’businesses.
- Partner closely with Commercial leadership to supportgot marketstrategy, priority verticals, and account-based growth through targeted narratives and media activation.
- Position Fitch Solutions as a strategic partner, not just a data provider—using communications to reinforce value, differentiation, andlong termrelevance to clients.
- Translate product innovation, research insight, and marketexpertiseinto communications that influence demand, shorten sales cycles, and support enterprise and multiyear deal conversations.
- Establish communications as a commerciallever, with clear accountability for contribution to revenue-related outcomes.
Strategic Communications & Earned Media Leadership
- Define and lead a proactive,insight drivenearned media and external communications strategy focused on growth markets, priority audiences, and commercialobjectives.
- Securehigh impactmedia placement for FitchSolutions’research, data, andsubject matterexperts across financial, business, and specialist trade media.
- Build andmaintaindeep relationships with senior journalists, editors, and influencers covering credit markets, macroeconomics, private capital, ESG, data, and financial technology.
- Partner with Research, Product, and Commercial leaders toidentifynewsworthy moments that advance both visibility and revenueobjectives.
- Providesenior levelcounsel on messaging, positioning, and media readiness to executives andsubject matterexperts, including coordination with Fitch Ratings whereappropriate.
- Ensure all external communicationsalign with enterprisegovernance, regulatoryrequirements, and brandguardrailsacross a complex, matrixed organization.
Integrated Marketing Communications (PESO)
- Develop and govern an integrated communications framework across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels, ensuring consistency, scale, and commercial relevance.
- Collaborate with Digital, Content, Design, and Campaign teams to deliver integrated programs that reinforce growth narratives and demand generation efforts.
- Support product launches, flagship research, and thematic growth initiatives with commercially focused communications planning and amplification.
Brand Elevation, Partnerships, Awards & Events
- Strengthen the clarity, credibility, and commercial relevance of the Fitch Solutions brand while respecting the distinctiveness of individual businesses.
- Use awards, events, and thought leadership platforms as growth accelerators, not vanity initiatives—clearly linking participation to strategic and commercial outcomes.
- Support and amplify Fitch Solutions’ presence at priority industry events, ensuring messaging aligns with sales, partnership, and growthobjectives.
- Developpost eventandpost campaigncontent that converts visibility into durable commercial value.
Leadership, Team Build & Operating Model
- Build, lead, and scale ahigh performingglobal marketing communications team, setting clear roles, expectations, and development pathways.
- Establish a disciplined operating model with clear prioritization, governance, and ways of working across Marketing, Commercial, Research, Product, and Group Communications.
- Act as a senior, credible partner to stakeholders across Fitch Solutions and Fitch Ratings in a matrixed environment, balancing collaboration with accountability.
- Embed modern tools, includingAI enabledplatforms, to improve insight generation, execution speed, measurement, and team productivity.
Performance Metrics & Accountability
This role will be measured on business impact, not activity. KPIs will include, but are not limited to:
- Contribution to pipeline growthandrevenue alignedinitiatives

- 10+ years’ experience in senior communications or marketing communications roles within financial services, data, B2B, or capital markets environments.
- Proven ability to connect communications strategy to commercial outcomes and revenue growth.
- Strongtrack recordof securinghigh qualityearned media and elevating complex businesses through narrative leadership.
- Experienceoperatingin matrixed, global organizations, ideally alongside ratings, research, or regulated businesses.
- Demonstrated success building and leading teams in complex environments.
- Exceptional editorial judgment andexecutive levelcommunication skills.
