The Opportunity As Head of Development, you will take full ownership of the development function, setting the vision, driving delivery, and building a culture of excellence.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to align technical strategy with commercial goals, while empowering teams to innovate, scale, and deliver at pace.
With a flexible model requiring monthly visits to Leeds city centre, this role offers both autonomy and meaningful collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the development strategy, architecture, and technical roadmap.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team.
- Drive best practices across coding standards, CI/CD, testing, and delivery.
- Oversee the development lifecycle, from concept through to deployment and optimisation.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and senior stakeholders to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and future-proof.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
