Pacific Support Services has an exciting opportunity and are looking for an area operations manager to join our team in Eltham, London. We operate contracts in London and the surrounding areas.

Basic Salary £30,000 + overtime £12.71/hour as required; Company van provided; Fuel card provided; Mobile phone provided; 28 days holiday per annum (20 days + bank holidays); Optional NEST Pension Scheme inclusion; Full UK Driving Licence required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Contracts and projects
  • Supervising on site
  • Cover of sites for sickness/holiday
  • Train, induct and supervise the work of cleaning operatives on various sites
  • Communicating with head office and operation managers about any problems that arise
  • Project manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors
  • Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
  • Ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
  • Check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies
  • Coordinate and lead one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility
  • Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met

Monitoring and reporting of

  • Performance levels and any issues at sites
  • Health & Safety levels
  • Quality Control
  • Producing KPIs

Requirements

  • Must be able to demonstrate previous area management
  • Must have a driving licence
  • Must be able to do early morning, late evenings, and weekends if/when required
  • Must understand health and safety principles of the cleaning industry
