You will work in a collaborative team, providing complex specialist support to the design and development of high‑performance world‑class motor drive systems. You will bring extensive firmware/FPGA experience, writing VHDL code for control of electric motors. You will own the RTL design, the FPGA implementation (synthesis, place & route) and support the testing of the overall digital controller inside the power converter.
What You Will Learn
- Working with airframers and customers to understand technology progression to enable future electric flight
- Learn about aerospace specific design considerations for safety and robust design
Qualifications You Must Have
- Degree or equivalent in engineering
- Experience with FPGA tools & technologies (e.g., Microchip, Xilinx, SoC, Modelsim, Matlab, Simulink)
- Demonstrable practical experience of FPGA design and verification (VHDL) including requirements capture, simulation, code coverage, synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis & closure.
- Ability to collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines.
- Proven track record in delivering complex work packages.
- Demonstrate technical experience regarding design and verification.
- Deliver (taking a hands‑on approach) in design, development, prototyping, verification, and delivery of DO254 compliant FPGAs.
