Senior Civil Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team in our Cambridge office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a willingness to take on more responsibility or collaborate in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, planners, and environmental specialists, to develop practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Provide technical expertise in areas such as site development, drainage, highways, and infrastructure design.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to foster a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing environment.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, with a strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and project management.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of UK design standards and regulations.
