Facilities & Hygiene Manager – Immediate Start (Penzance Area)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities & Hygiene Manager to join a busy production environment in the Penzance area. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, hands‑on manager with strong leadership skills and a focus on maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

Job Details

  • Managing site services and hygiene operations to support business needs
  • Leading and supervising a team of hygiene operatives
  • Ensuring all cleaning processes meet strict quality, safety, and legal standards
  • Coordinating cleaning schedules in line with production requirements
  • Liaising with production, maintenance, and quality teams
  • Monitoring hygiene performance, audits, and KPIs
  • Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with site procedures
  • Driving continuous improvement across hygiene and site standards

Pay Rate

  • Circa £35,000 per year (depending on experience)

Shift Pattern

  • Night shifts: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
  • 5 days per week (flexibility required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Health & Safety systems and ensuring compliance with current legislation
  • Managing staffing levels, training, and performance of hygiene teams
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and implementing improvements
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on hygiene performance
  • Ensuring correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Supporting site-wide hygiene standards and food safety requirements
