Overview

London Museum is at a once-in-a-generation turning point. As we prepare to open our landmark new home at Smithfield alongside our established site at Docklands, we’re building the operational foundations that will carry us forward and retail is at the heart of it.

Responsibilities

You will manage a team of supervisors and a Retail Logistics Coordinator, owning the day-to-day running of retail across the Smithfield and Docklands sites from stock control and EPOS systems to visual merchandising and team performance. You will play a pivotal role in the operational mobilisation of our new Smithfield home, ensuring everything runs reliably at pace.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience managing retail operations in a high‑volume, public‑facing environment (e.g., Store Manager, Cluster Manager or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of EPOS and stock control systems and operations.
  • Demonstrable track record of implementing disciplined stock procedures that protect margin and reduce shrinkage.
  • Experience supporting store openings or operational scale‑ups.
  • Strong knowledge of retail systems and processes with a rigorous, solutions‑focused approach to leading high‑performing teams.
  • Previous experience working in a museum is not required.
