Acting as the primary tactical counterpart to the Global Systems Manager, you will turn high-level infrastructure plans into reality. Role Responsibilities
- Technical Escalation Lead: Serve as the “Level 2/3” expert. When the helpdesk faces a complex, non‑routine hardware or software issue, you are the problem solver who steps in to fix it.
- Infrastructure Execution: Get hands‑on with the physical layer. Support the installation, cabling, and racking of servers, switches, and power (UPS) hardware at global sites.
- Systems & Virtualization Support: Maintain the health of our virtual environment. Support the lifecycle of Virtual Machines (VMs) and ensure our Hyper‑V platforms are running smoothly.
- Telephony & Comms: Assist in the setup and troubleshooting of company PBX and VoIP systems to keep our global teams communicating effectively.
- Global Field Projects (International Travel): Travel internationally (approx. 10%) to execute infrastructure projects, manage new office setups, and handle site expansions.
- Operational Continuity: Execute critical system maintenance to ensure zero business disruption. (Note: This occasionally requires flexible hours during off‑peak windows).
- Asset Coordination: Work with the Manager to track global hardware lifecycles and maintain the pristine documentation and organization of our server room environments.
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in an infrastructure or hardware support role.
- Practical experience with Hypervisors, Virtual Machines, and server hardware.
- Solid understanding of physical network troubleshooting and rack management.
- Travel readiness: Ability to travel 10% of the time for project deployments or hardware refreshes.
- Flexibility to work non‑standard hours when necessary to match global time zones.
