About the Role
You will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of high-quality software solutions that support research, knowledge exchange, commercial activity, business engagement and external partnerships. You will work closely with colleagues across the University, the Investment Zone team, external stakeholders and business partners to develop digital products and solutions from concept through to deployment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in software development, including designing, building and delivering digital solutions from concept to completion
- Technical knowledge across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment and integration with platforms or APIs
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including translating business needs into practical technical solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery
- Interest in applying software expertise to business innovation, commercial collaboration and externally facing projects
Support and Development
As Senior Software Developer, you will be part of a cross-institutional team with support from colleagues across the School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies, the Research & Enterprise Office and the wider Investment Zone programme. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, build partnerships and contribute to innovation activity that supports regional growth. This role also offers access to professional development opportunities and support from colleagues across technical, commercial and academic teams.
