Location: Bristol, GB, BS16 1EJ (Stoke Gifford, Bristol or Leicester, Leicestershire). Hybrid or onsite work is available, with a minimum of two days a week onsite.

As a Senior APEX Developer you’ll join our Digital Solutions team, delivering robust, secure and innovative applications that support the through‑life engineering of the UK naval submarine fleet.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll be required to:
- Lead requirements analysis and produce technical design solutions for large and complex software programmes
- Develop high‑quality Oracle Application Express applications using efficient, reusable and maintainable code
- Write and maintain complex server‑side PL/SQL extensions for data validation, integration and import/export processes
- Apply technical expertise to evaluate options, assess risk and recommend optimal solutions
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve digital capability
This is a full‑time role, 35 hours per week. Working times are 7:30 am–3:30 pm Mon‑Thu, 7:00 am–12:00 pm Fri. Hybrid patterns are available.
Essential experience:
- Strong competence in PL/SQL, including complex server‑side development
- A disciplined and methodical approach to configuration and change control
- Motivation to take ownership of your professional development
Qualifications:
- Oracle‑related certifications or relevant software engineering qualifications are advantageous
