Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Breast Care

Are you an experienced qualified nurse? Are you highly motivated and willing to promote change? Are you a team worker with a healthy work ethic and eager to learn? Then look no further, this role could be for you! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full‑Time Qualified post in Breast surgery as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This vacancy is a permanent post.

The role was originally developed to enable new ways of working, specifically, the Mastalgia pathway for the Northants region. This is a nurse‑led service allowing both Northampton and Kettering General Hospital patients with breast pain to be seen in clinics based outside of the main hospital.

Dependent on experience, you will be expected to run these clinics under remote supervision. You will also support the breast clinicians in diagnostic and follow‑up clinics and generally support the breast nursing team.

The applicant will be expected to hold a Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification at level 6 or above and be qualified in Clinical Breast Examination. However we will consider a practitioner qualified in clinical examination without the prescribing course. This may affect the banding of the post being offered.
