Section Engineer – Major Infrastructure Project

We’re recruiting a Section Engineer to join a major civil and infrastructure project in Suffolk. This is a key role, taking ownership of a defined section of works on a large-scale, high-profile scheme.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a section of works
• Develop and maintain short-term programmes
• Supervise Site Engineers and coordinate delivery teams
• Manage QA processes including ITPs, inspections, and red‑line drawings
• Prepare and approve RAMS, ensuring H&S compliance
• Liaise with designers, subcontractors, and supply chain
• Support planning, methodology, and problem-solving on site

Requirements

• Experience as a Section Engineer on major infrastructure projects
• Strong background in earthworks, drainage, and utilities diversions
• Good understanding of QA, RAMS, and construction delivery
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Energy sector experience is beneficial but not essential.
