The Role

Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience.

As a multi‑skilled maintenance engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety and appearance of the hotel.

This role involves carrying out a multitude of tasks including, but not limited to tiling, plastering, carpentry, plumbing and electrical works as well as more routine maintenance repairs. Experience working within a hotel environment is beneficial. With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with devotion and pride.

Nuts & Bolts of the Job!

  • Essential skills to include plastering, tiling and carpentry
  • General skills to include electrical and plumbing works
  • Respond promptly to guest repairs and communicate effectively to resolve problems.
  • Ensure fixtures and fittings, appliances and equipment are always safe and operational.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, identifying any faults or potential hazards
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and your responsibilities
  • Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment
  • Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel.
  • Always keep an eye out for improvements – follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times.
  • Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and report any major issues to management
  • To take on extra duties as and when the team needs you
  • Flexibility to work 5 out of 7 days, including early (8:00am–4:30pm) or late shifts (1:30pm–10:00pm) during the week and at weekends.
