We are seeking an enthusiastic Acoustic Consultant to join our team based in our Manchester office, specialising in climate, air & noise. You will lead measurement and modelling workstreams for a variety of small to medium‑size projects, prepare planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) outputs, and act as the primary contact for day‑to‑day client technical queries.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct noise and vibration surveys, including community and site‑based monitoring.
- Develop and run noise models (CadnaA, SoundPLAN or similar), calibrate models and interpret outputs.
- Produce clear technical reports, planning noise chapters and mitigation recommendations.
- Provide technical input to planning applications, EIA chapters and environmental permits.
- Liaise with clients, project teams and local authority consultees, and present findings at meetings.
- Design pragmatic mitigation measures (acoustic enclosures, barriers, façade/ventilation strategies).
- Contribute to proposals, fee estimates and small‑scope business development.
