Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Consultant Cellular Pathologist to join our experienced and highly motivated team at the Clinical Sciences Building, Oxford Road Campus (with potential requirement to work across other sites).

Details

Number of postholders: 10 PA positions in the cellular pathology reporting team, primarily focused on diagnostic cytopathology. Flexibility for a minor histopathology component, with preference for Dermatopathology (Head and Neck skin).

Contribution to each sub‑specialty will be discussed with the successful appointee based on expertise and service requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subspecialised cytopathology services to clinical users including Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, and local general practices.
  • Review cytopathology of patients referred to Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust sites for further investigation or treatment from other hospitals.
  • Participate in cancer multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs) in line with areas of subspecialisation.
