We are seeking an experienced and customer‑focused Employee Services Team Leader to lead the delivery of a high-quality, proactive Employee Services function across the Trust.

Working closely with the Head of Employee Relations, you will ensure our Employee Services team provides expert advice, efficient transactional HR services, and a consistently excellent customer experience. You will play a key role in developing people processes, improving service delivery, and supporting managers and staff across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day performance of the Employee Services team, setting clear objectives and maintaining high service standards
  • Provide expert guidance on terms and conditions, contractual changes, pay, job evaluation, and employment-related queries
  • Act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive employee issues
  • Monitor and report on service performance, KPIs, and customer feedback, using data to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, knowledge resources, FAQs, and self‑service support materials
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of employment documentation, references, and contractual amendments
  • Support managers and staff with professional, consistent, and customer‑focused advice through multiple communication channels
  • Promote employee and manager self‑service and ensure high-quality intranet guidance and support materials
  • Lead team development through coaching, feedback, performance management, and skills development
  • Liaise with clinicians, service managers, and HR colleagues to understand and respond to operational needs

Qualifications

  • Degree or commensurate experience in a Senior HR Advisory or Administration role
  • CIPD certificate of practice or equivalent experience in an HR administration manager role

Experience

  • Extensive experience in a busy HR department meeting high customer demands.
  • Experience advising staff in a large, complex organisation

Skills

  • Experience of managing a team and able to lead and motivate others as part of a team
