Quality Inspector

Job Overview

Position: Quality Inspector – Sheet Metal Fabrication. We recruit on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in Leicestershire (LE7). Full‑time, Permanent. Pay £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience). Working hours: Mon – Thurs 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am – 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Identify and report non‑conformances.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quality Inspector role.
• Previous experience within the sheet metal industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• High attention to detail and quality‑focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
