Project Manager – Heat Sink

Location: London (minimum 3 days per week).

Salary: From £78,000, dependent on experience.

About Sizewell C

Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. The company is in the construction phase, focusing on delivering the project on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. It is economically regulated by OFGEM under the RAB model, and it will replicate the design of Hinkley Point C while innovating delivery methods to achieve around 20% savings in time and cost.

The Role

You’ll be in the driving seat, leading a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team and overseeing the end‑to‑end delivery of critical equipment and contracts within the Heat Sink (HSK) area, from engineering through to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve seamless delivery.
  • Taking ownership of budgets, schedules, risk management and quality assurance.
  • Co‑ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage complex interfaces smoothly.
  • Apply technical expertise and leadership to uphold the highest standards of execution and compliance.

About You

You are an experienced Project Professional with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale, complex projects from concept to completion. You combine technical knowledge with strategic insight across key areas such as engineering, commercial, risk and quality management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Background in mechanical, electrical, process systems or civil engineering within large‑scale industrial plant environments.
  • Proven success in coordinating multi‑disciplinary design and procurement activities, driving teams to meet key deadlines.
  • Strong grasp of the complexities involved in major projects, particularly managing interfaces between different scope areas.
  • Experience in project management or project engineering covering the full lifecycle from concept to handover.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively in client‑facing and contractor‑facing scenarios.
  • Exceptional communication, organisational and leadership abilities.
