Graduate Building Surveyor  An opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor at graduate, assistant, or intermediate level to join a growing team delivering a range of property and asset-related surveys. The role offers exposure to varied projects and environments, working alongside experienced professionals across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering surveying services across a portfolio of building-related projects
  • Collect and record information on building elements, including condition and performance
  • Contribute to the preparation of clear, concise reports outlining findings and recommendations
  • Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project delivery
  • Use digital tools and mobile technology to capture survey data on-site
  • Attend site visits across different property types, adapting to varying project requirements
  • Work both independently and as part of a wider team, depending on project scope
  • Support general project coordination and respond to ad hoc tasks as needed

Project Scope Work may involve a mix of:

  • General condition assessments of buildings and associated elements
  • Asset recording and data collection exercises
  • Forward maintenance planning and advisory reporting
  • Inspection of building elements to identify defects or areas requiring attention
  • End-of-lease or handover-related property reviews

Projects are delivered across a range of sectors such as public buildings, education, commercial, and other facilities. Some travel may be required as part of the role.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline (or working towards one)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised, with attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Comfortable using standard IT systems and learning new digital tools
  • A proactive approach with willingness to develop skills and knowledge
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential for entry-level applicants
