PROJECT MANAGER (NORTH REGION)

We are seeking a Project Manager to deliver end-to-end project management services across a diverse portfolio of construction and facilities projects for Natural England under a government contract.
This role will involve managing capital projects and MAC works across a broad estate, including laboratories, operational buildings, and farms and agricultural infrastructure.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced professional who is comfortable operating across multiple sites and stakeholders, with strong commercial, compliance, and delivery focus.
The role covers the North Region, from Birmingham through to Scotland, and requires regular travel depending on workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end project management across capital projects and MAC works for client and Natural England portfolios
- Lead the planning and delivery of projects aligned to commercial, operational, and client objectives
- Identify and develop new project opportunities within the account
- Build strong relationships with the ISS Country Team, key stakeholders, and external clients
- Hold P&L accountability in line with country requirements
- Develop effective delivery models and manage resources across multiple projects
- Ensure robust commercial governance, compliance, and risk management
- Oversee supply chain performance, embedding best-practice processes to maintain high service standards
About You
- Proven Project Manager experience within Construction or Facilities Management (public sector experience desirable)
- Experience delivering projects valued at £1.5m–£3.0m
- Professional background in Construction, Engineering, or the Built Environment
- Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in a technical or management discipline
- Strong knowledge of CDM, RIBA stages (or equivalent frameworks), and UK Health & Safety regulations
- Demonstrable Health & Safety compliance management.
- Experience estimating project costs and producing professional tender documentation.
- Strong IT literacy, including MS Office, MS Project and Monday.com.
- Holds NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS qualified (or actively working towards)
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable with regional travel.
