About the Company

We are working with a high-performing independent sixth form college to appoint an exceptional Head of Mathematics. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a thriving department in a school renowned for its academic excellence, consistently delivering outstanding A-Level results and placing students into top UK universities, including Oxbridge.

About the Role

You will take full responsibility for leading and developing the Mathematics department, with a particular focus on A-Level and Further Mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the strategic direction of Mathematics across the college
  • Delivering outstanding teaching at A-Level (including Further Maths)
  • Driving exceptional student outcomes and university progression
  • Managing and developing a high-performing team of teachers
  • Overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, and intervention strategies
  • Supporting students aiming for top universities, including Oxbridge

Qualifications

  • A highly effective Mathematics teacher with a strong academic background
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent A-Level results
  • Experience teaching Further Mathematics is highly desirable
  • Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
  • Passion for academic excellence and supporting high-achieving students

  • Ability to drive student success
  • Experience in Further Mathematics

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in A-Level Further Mathematics
