Customer Training Manager (Engineering)

We are supporting a globally recognised engineering organisation in the search for a Customer Training Manager to lead the delivery of technical training on complex, safety-critical products.

This role is not suited to general L&D profiles — we’re looking for someone who has operated within engineering-led customer training environments, delivering structured, technical programmes to external clients.

The Role

• Lead and develop a team of technical instructors (6–7 direct reports)

• Own the full training lifecycle – design, development, delivery & certification

• Manage training schedules, resources, and course portfolio

• Drive the teams KPI performance, process improvement, and compliance

• Work closely with engineering and commercial teams to meet customer requirements

• Ensure technical accuracy, instructor competency, and training quality standards

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading customer training within an engineering or technical environment

• Background in delivering structured training on complex products/systems

• Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and resource management of training delivery

• Confident leader with the ability to drive performance and develop teams

• Comfortable working in a highly regulated, safety-critical industry
