Mechanical Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Software and Lifing Lead to focus on developing and maintaining methods and tools for complex, high‑value turbomachinery components and supporting systems at one of our global manufacturing clients!

You will lead a small team of software developers for the Lifing of gas turbines, using software to create and continuously assess.

This position begins as a 6 month contract (Inside IR35), with the goal of being a long-term opportunity. This position is an onsite role in Bracknell.

Targeting the following skillsets:

1. Coding experience with C#, Python, or C++ to process large datasets and automate complex engineering tasks to improve accuracy, efficiency, and quality of models.
2. Component lifing experience – Service Life, Using analysis, Accounting for degradation, safety and reliability
3. Prior Experience of leading a small team.
4. Educational background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace / Physics / Automation , etc.
