Role: Electrical Project Manager (HV)
Location: Kettering
Salary: £70,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance
Full-time | Permanent | Site-based
This is a specialist role for someone with a strong high voltage background, working for a leading MEP design & build contractor on major UK projects.
You’ll be starting on a large-scale hospital project, taking ownership of HV works including substations, primary distribution and integration into wider building systems.
This is not a facilities role. It’s full lifecycle delivery across design, construction and commissioning.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading HV packages across the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning
- Managing substation works, HV distribution and associated infrastructure
- Attending project start-up meetings and driving early-stage delivery strategy
- Managing technical submissions, approvals and engineering coordination
- Raising and closing RFIs across HV scope
- Overseeing subcontractors and specialist HV teams on site
- Managing programme, progress reporting and commercial impacts (variations, delays etc.)
- Coordinating closely with the main contractor and client-side teams
- Ensuring commissioning plans are in place and executed correctly
- Driving QA, snagging and full project handover
What they’re looking for
- Strong experience as an Electrical Project Manager with a clear HV / substation focus
- Background in MEP design & build or major infrastructure projects
- Proven delivery of large-scale, technically complex projects (healthcare, data centres, industrial etc.)
- Solid understanding of HV systems, commissioning and integration
- Experience managing specialist subcontractors and site teams
- Confident working in a fast-paced, high-value project environment
