We’re proud of the team, energy and experiences we’ve built here and we’re now looking for a brilliant General Manager to lead the next chapter.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely loves hospitality and thrives in a busy, people-focused environment. We’re looking for someone who leads from the floor, builds strong teams and takes pride in creating a place guests want to return to again and again.
The Role
As General Manager you’ll lead Rockwater Hove day-to-day, bringing together our food, drink, events and community experiences while ensuring standards, service and culture remain exceptional.
Rockwater Hove is a busy, multi-faceted venue with a diverse offering across dining, events, wellness and community experiences. We’re looking for a leader who is comfortable operating at scale, someone who can balance the energy of a high-volume venue with the attention to detail that creates exceptional guest experiences. This role requires strong operational leadership, a genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to bring out the best in a large team.
What you’ll be responsible for
• Leading and inspiring a large, dynamic team
• Creating a strong culture of great service and genuine hospitality
• Driving service standards through coaching and training
• Overseeing daily operations across dining, events and experiences
• Ensuring guests receive consistently memorable experiences
• Managing financial performance including budgets and reporting
• Maintaining strong operational, health and safety standards
• Helping Rockwater continue to grow as a destination for the local community
About You
You’re an experienced hospitality leader who:
• Has operated successfully as a General Manager or senior operator in a busy venue
• Is hands-on and visible, leading from the floor
• Loves developing teams and building positive culture
• Has strong operational and commercial awareness
• Enjoys creating environments where both guests and teams thrive
• Understands that great hospitality is about people, energy and experience
