HR Advisor | Multi-Site Farming & Estates Environment

Strong Team | Real Influence | Career Progression

If you’re an HR Advisor who wants to be close to the operation, partner with managers on site, and make a genuine impact across a farming and estates environment, this is well worth a look.

This is not a purely office-based HR role.

You’ll be working closely with site leadership across a multi-site agricultural operation, supporting the people agenda where it matters most, on site, with managers and in the day-to-day reality of the business.

The role is primarily site-based and will involve travel to other farming locations as needed, so it would suit someone who is practical, adaptable, and comfortable working across a wider rural operational area.

Why this HR Advisor role stands out

  • Strong, supportive HR team with a collaborative culture
  • Real exposure to site leadership and operational stakeholders
  • Varied role covering ER, engagement, recruitment, training and HR projects
  • Genuine career development opportunities
  • Chance to make a visible difference across the wider farming operation

The HR Advisor role

  • Managing Employee Relations cases including disciplinary, grievance and capability matters
  • Supporting absence management and retention activity
  • Partnering with managers to improve performance, engagement and people practices
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding across sites
  • Delivering and supporting training and development initiatives
  • Maintaining HR systems, records, compliance and data accuracy
  • Supporting audits, reporting, KPIs and continuous improvement activity
  • Travelling to other farming sites where required to support the wider business

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a generalist HR Advisor role
  • Strong Employee Relations experience
  • Confident working with managers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Good understanding of UK employment law
  • Experience in agriculture, farming, estates, rural operations, logistics, manufacturing, or other hands-on operational environments would be beneficial
  • CIPD qualified or working towards would be an advantage
  • Practical, solutions-focused and comfortable operating at pace
  • Willingness to travel between sites as needed

What success looks like

  • Build credibility quickly with site managers and operational teams
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially aware HR support
  • Help improve absence, retention and engagement across sites
  • Become a trusted HR partner within the wider farming operation

Why this role?

  • Supportive, collaborative team culture
  • Practical and down-to-earth HR environment
  • Strong development opportunities
  • Exposure across multiple sites and operational teams
