We are partnered with a well‑established global manufacturing company based in Alton, who are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to support New Unit and Retrofit projects across the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Marine markets.
This is a fully on‑site role, 5 days per week, working full‑time hours Monday to Friday.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for delivering fully compliant engineering and manufacturing packages from technical proposal through to fabrication and customer documentation. Working closely with a Senior Engineer, Project Managers, and cross‑functional teams, the role supports schedule, cost, quality, and safety targets while acting as the technical interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include design review and approval, managing internal and external design resources, producing BOMs and datasheets within ERP systems, supporting fabrication, resolving technical queries and concessions, contributing to standardisation initiatives, and producing Installation, Operation & Maintenance (IOM) manuals.
Experience:
- Engineering degree or equivalent professional engineering experience
- Proven experience reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings for design‑for‑manufacture (DFM), including access, weldability, clash detection, coatings, and drains
- Awareness of international engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and export controls
- Experience working with CAD tools and ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects, interface with suppliers and sub‑contract designers, and support delivery to cost and schedule targets
