Land Development Manager | Strategic Land | Central London

We’re partnering with a leading strategic land promotion business based in Central London to find a talented Land Development Manager to join their growing team. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be at the heart of complex, high-value strategic land projects; not just getting sites under option, but actually driving them forward.
The Role
This is a project-focused position, not a land acquisition role. You won’t be spending your time chasing landowners or negotiating option agreements; instead, you’ll be taking strategic land sites through their full journey, from onboarding through planning and into early development. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with internal teams, planning consultants, promoters, and local authorities to maximise the value and deliverability of each site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing strategic land projects across the pre and post-acquisition lifecycle
- Overseeing the onboarding process for new sites into the portfolio
- Coordinating planning strategies and working with internal & external planning teams to secure consents
- Progressing sites through to development, managing stakeholders throughout
- Monitoring project timelines, risks, and budgets across a varied pipeline
What We’re Looking For
- A solid background in land; whether from a housebuilder, promoter, developer, or consultancy
- Experience managing land & planning projects through multiple stages
- Strong understanding of the planning system and strategic land promotion process
- Commercially minded with excellent project management skills
- Confident communicator able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
