Business Development Manager

Location: Remote

Salary: Competitive

An established European group supplying tyre inflation, vacuum, and jet wash equipment to petrol filling stations and other locations is expanding its dedicated fleet division. The group partners with oil companies, hypermarket groups, and independent retailers to provide market-leading revenue share offers, including equipment, service, and account management.

We are looking for a commercial hunter to join our fast-paced sales team to scale our fleet maintenance solution across the UK and Irish markets. This service offers tyre inflation, vacuum, and jet wash services for large vehicle fleets and is already proven and operational with several major national retailers and household names.

The Role

This is an opportunity to shape and develop a growing business area with the full support of the wider group. You will be responsible for building the commercial pipeline, closing enterprise accounts, and refining the internal delivery and commercial processes required to scale the service further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to acquire vehicle fleet customers across the UK and Ireland.
  • Target decision-makers including fleet managers, operations managers, procurement, and fuel card buyers.
  • Refine service packages (frequency, scope, add-ons), pricing models, and contract terms for national scaling.
  • Remain the account owner for strategic accounts and identify data insights using dashboards.
  • Work with the wider team to improve internal processes for commercial-to-delivery handovers, including SLAs, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate records and win/loss analysis using the CRM system.
  • Represent the business at industry events and manage relationships with strategic partners.

Your Profile

The successful candidate will be a self-driven professional comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the commercial acumen to navigate complex contracts.

  • Industry Experience: Proven B2B sales experience selling to fleet operators, ideally from the fuel card, telematics, or outsourced maintenance industries.
  • Track Record: Demonstrable ability to close multi-site national accounts and manage enterprise-level sales cycles.
  • Existing Network: Established relationships with fleet managers managing large vehicle fleets, up to the size of a large van.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to work with data and use dashboards to identify insights within existing accounts.
  • Mobility: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland, including occasional overnight stays.

Benefits & Development

  • Salary: £50,000–£65,000 based on experience.
  • Commission: Uncapped, motivating commission structure.
  • Car: Car allowance or company car.
  • Career Progression: Opportunity to potentially develop and shape the offer across the EU market after establishing the UK and ROI territories.
  • Environment: A supportive work environment based at the European head office or remotely.
