We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to work on a CAPEX project at a manufacturing company near to Cambridge. The specific project involves engineering, delivery, installation and commissioning of new production lines including associated utilities (power, water, compressed air supply).
The ideal candidate should have experience working on projects involving plant utility connections e.g. power, cooling water, compressed air etc. Your role would be to ensure the plant layout is engineered correctly to receive the machinery when installed.
This work will take up the initial 2-3 months and after that the bulk of the work will be supervising the installations and connections. Therefore you must have experience with supervising installation, not just engineering.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to contribute to and advise on the plant layout in AutoCAD as well.

Specification:
- At least 5-10+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer
- Industrial manufacturing projects experience.
- Experience with full project lifecycle including mechanical, machinery / equipment engineering & installation.
- Ability to select suppliers and subcontractors.
- Mechanical engineering background, ability to contribute to drawings with AutoCAD.
- Site-based / hands on background
