Job Overview
This role is part of a fast‑paced directorate and involves a range of clinical duties across outpatient, ward and operating theatre settings, with teaching responsibilities and first‑on‑call for trauma and orthopaedics at Northwick Park Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and manage fracture and orthopaedic outpatient clinics and ward work.
- Participate regularly in operating theatre lists, including trauma, elective and day surgery.
- Deliver undergraduate teaching sessions on a fixed weekly schedule.
- Act as resident first‑on‑call for trauma and orthopaedics at Northwick Park Hospital.
- Collaborate with the lead consultant and the wider trauma & orthopaedics team.
- Engage in audit activities with SHOs, SPRs and SAS doctors; prepare for monthly audit meetings.
- Analyse clinical data and contribute to research & development for clinical governance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong computerised data management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail‑oriented, accurate, and experienced in prioritising workloads.
- Resilient, self‑motivated and forward‑thinking with flexibility to adapt.
