- Supporting the transition of complex electronic and mechanical products into production
- Managing and coordinating external supply chain partners and contract manufacturers
- Driving improvements in manufacturing processes, tools, and best practices
- Supporting bids and proposals with manufacturing insight
- Working closely with project managers and technical teams to deliver programmes
- Assessing supplier performance and resolving quality or delivery issues
- Leading and developing a small team of engineers and technical specialists
Required skills:
- Strong experience in manufacturing engineering within an electronics or RF‑led environment
- Background working across the full product development lifecycle
- Good understanding of electronics manufacturing processes (e.g. SMT, PCB assemblies)
- Experience managing suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment
- Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
You’ll be working out of their South Cambridge office, on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH). This role will also include some occasional travel (once a month) to visit customer sites. The salary on offer for this role is up to £70,000 (DOE), plus benefits.
