Overview
Working on behalf of a major home builder who are looking to expand their team and currently seeking a Technical Manager for their future developments. Working on new build, traditional build houses and apartments. These developments are based around quality with strong design standards, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external parties. The company is committed to providing exceptional, well-designed homes and maintaining strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all legal requirements are approved to ensure that projects begin and are constructed to the highest standard
- Be present on site occasionally to carry out site checks
- Formulate and continuously develop briefs, by organizing applicable information as instructed by the Technical Manager
- Follow technical processes and procedures while carrying out your role and improve or address any technical issues to improve project processes
- Check full working drawing packages
- Identify all surveys, site investigations and consultants required on a project
- Manage the due diligence exercise on the design information received
- Fulfill Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in a managerial role
- Good problem solver and able to work with minimal instruction
- Smart, presentable and able to deal directly with customers
- Punctual, reliable and good practical skills
- Degree qualified or Equivalent
- Established track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Technical understanding and knowledge of regulatory constraints
- Understanding of the planning process
- Project Management Skills
- Continuous professional construction background in a design environment
- Substantial experience of new build residential projects, predominantly housing schemes
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations and NHBC Technical Standards
- Good team player with ability to liaise confidently and professionally with clients, consultants and construction teams
