A Little More About Your Role… The Mining and Minerals business is looking to employ a Principal / Senior Mechanical Engineer with sector‑specific transferable skills to undertake concept study and engineering roles for mineral processing plants supporting projects of all scales in a multidisciplinary environment. A degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to the layout, design and specification of mineral processing, metallurgical and hydrometallurgical processing facilities as well as materials handling facilities for studies and engineering contracts. Liaison with other engineering and project disciplines is required to ensure that equipment requirements are captured and that engineering information is fed back into the process plant design process. The engineer will specify and select equipment, engage with the supply chain, ensure compliance with corporate and legislative requirements, and maintain consistency and quality of project delivery. They will resolve functional issues through technical capability and engineering judgement, generating innovative solutions that add value for clients.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology (post‑graduate qualification desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
