Repairs Planner / Scheduler – Social Housing

Barnsley (S70), £16.90 per hour, Temp (3 months initially), Immediate Start

We’re currently recruiting for a Repairs Planner / Service Controller to join a busy social housing contractor based in Barnsley.

This is a fast‑paced role where you’ll be responsible for planning and scheduling day‑to‑day/reactive repairs for trades across a housing portfolio.

The Role

• Scheduling and allocating work to operatives
• Managing diaries and workloads for engineers/trades
• Handling reactive and planned maintenance jobs
• Liaising with tenants and internal teams
• Updating systems and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in repairs planning/scheduling (social housing ideal)
• Strong knowledge of day‑to‑day/reactive repairs
• Experience using systems like MRI, Maintain, Impact Response or similar
• Good Excel and general IT skills
• Strong communication skills (customer‑facing role)
